「2021/22學年全港初中中國歷史文化問答比賽」總決賽暨頒獎典禮

      香港特別行政區政府教育局(教育局)主辦,香港教育大學文學及文化學系(教大)協辦之「2021/22學年全港初中中國歷史文化問答比賽」,於今天(2022年6月11日)舉行總決賽暨頒獎典禮。舉辦活動旨在鼓勵學校通過校際的切磋砥礪,互勵共勉,推動及提升香港初中學生學習中國歷史文化的熱誠,並讓學生藉參與機會建立良好品格、開闊視野,傳承中華文化。

      是項比賽對象為全港中一至中三級學生,分設初賽及決賽,共71所中學近5500名學生參賽,反應熱烈。初賽中「分數最佳二十人累計總分」最高之首十二間學校,獲邀進入今天在教大大埔校園舉辦之十二強比賽,表現最傑出的四校隊伍,即場競逐冠軍殊榮。今天在總決賽後,頒獎典禮隨即舉行,以嘉許參與學生對中國文史的認識和熱忱。

      教育局課程發展處個人、社會及人文教育組總課程發展主任葉深銘博士在決賽後致辭表示:「正因為在座每一位校長、老師熱烈支持和鼓勵同學參與不同類型有關中國歷史與中華文化學習的活動,這個比賽才能無懼疫情,順利舉辦。我深盼望透過教育局與學界繼續攜手努力,能夠提升學生對我國歷史與文化的認識和興趣,進而尊重、欣賞及關心中國的歷史發展與文化承傳;我亦希望參與的同學們繼續加深學習中國文史,一定會終身受益。」教大文學及文化學系署理系主任李婉薇博士説:「中國歷史文化是培養民族感情、促進個人成長和訓練思考能力的寶貴資源。今天的比賽展示了學生對中國歷史文化的興趣,期望透過多元化活動繼續營造濃厚的學習氛圍,讓學生從活動中欣賞到優秀的中國歷史傳統和豐富的文化內涵。

      經過一番龍爭虎鬥,民生書院榮獲比賽冠軍,亞軍由培僑中學奪得,季軍及殿軍得主分別為香港中國婦女會中學及佛教大雄中學。

2021/22 Territory-wide Junior Secondary Quiz Competition on Chinese History and Culture Finals and Award Ceremony

      Organized by the Education Bureau (EDB) and co-organized by the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), the Finals and Award Ceremony of the 2021/22 Territory-wide Junior Secondary Quiz Competition on Chinese History and Culture is held today (11 June 2022). The competition aims to promote and raise the enthusiasm of junior secondary school students in Hong Kong in learning Chinese history and culture. By competing against each other, students can learn and encourage one another. Through the competition, students can build a strong moral character, broaden their horizons, and continue to pass on the Chinese culture.

      The competition is open to all Secondary One to Secondary Three students in Hong Kong and is divided into two rounds: the preliminary and final rounds. The competition has received an overwhelming response, with 71 schools and about 5,500 students participating. The top 12 schools with the highest cumulative total score in the preliminary round were invited to compete in the finals, which are held today at the EdUHK Tai Po Campus. The top four schools with the highest score will compete for the championship. An Award Ceremony was held today immediately after the finals, to honor the participating students for their knowledge and enthusiasm for Chinese history and culture.

Dr. Ip Sum Ming, Chief Curriculum Development Officer of the Personal, Social and Humanities Education Section, Curriculum Development Institute, Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau, delivered a speech after the final round and said, “because of the enthusiastic support and encouragement of all principals and teachers in this room, motivating students to participate in various activities that promote the learning of Chinese history and culture, this competition can be held successfully even under the pandemic. I sincerely hope that through the joint efforts of the Education Bureau and the school sector, we can enhance students' understanding and interest in the history and culture of our own country, so as to respect, appreciate and care about the historical development and cultural heritage of China. I also hope that the participating students will continue to pursue further study in Chinese history and culture, which will certainly benefit them throughout their lives.”.

Dr. Li, Yuen Mei Fanny, the Acting Head of Department, Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong, also expressed that “Chinese history and culture are valuable resources for developing a sense of belonging to the country and people, promoting personal growth, and training thinking skills. The competition today showcased student’s interest in Chinese history and culture, and we hope to continue to create a strong learning atmosphere through diversified activities that allow students to appreciate the excellent Chinese historical traditions and rich cultural connotations.”.

      After a fierce competition, Munsang College was the champion of the competition, Pui Kiu Middle School was the first runner-up, and the second and third runners-up were Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College and Buddhist Tai Hung College, respectively.
